What is neuroscience?

Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system and how the brain functions. It encapsulates both normal functioning of the nervous system, as well as abnormal functioning, both of which are important to understanding psychological processes.

The goal of this website is to chronicle the advances in the field of neuroscience, from ancient civilizations to modern day. It will examine the relevant technology and key figures involved in making neuroscience an interdisciplinary field of study, instead of just traditionally a branch of biology.
