The Beginnings of Neuroscience

In order to understand the development of modern neuroscience, it is important to know about the development of the field from its beginnings in the ancient world and continuing on through time until the field began to resemble what we acknowledge today as neuroscience.

The Beginnings of Neuroscience section will begin in Ancient Egypt, with early medical records of the brain, and ends mid-way through the Industrial Revolution in Europe, when there was a surge technological advances and increased academic interest in the brain.
